Viewing the Bypass Code and Clearing the Activation Lock for a Device

When viewing management information for a device, you can view the Activation Lock bypass code for the device and use it to clear Activation Lock.

1. In Jamf School, navigate to Devices > Inventory in the sidebar.
2. Click on the device you need the Activation Lock bypass code for.
3. Use the Device Details pane to do one of the following:

• To clear the Activation Lock on the device, click Clear activation lock in the Activation Lock settings. The Activation Lock will be cleared on the device the next time the device checks in.
• To view the Activation Lock bypass code, navigate to the Bypass code inventory information in the Activation Lock settings. You can use the bypass code to manually clear Activation Lock on the device. When prompted, enter the bypass code in the password field, and then leave Apple ID field blank.
